Civil Earthworks and Drainage
Providing civil construction support solutions to the resource sector, D&S provides high-quality personnel and equipment to deliver a diverse range of solutions to match the needs of large, medium or small scale resource projects. As D&S has done a significant amount of work in the North West, all gear is set up to mine specification.

Excavation and Underground Services
D&S offers an extensive range of services including:
• Installation of CSP culverts, box culverts and concrete floodways
• Excavation and installation of HDPE, water mains, sewer mains and GRP
• Installation of fibre optics/power cables
• General earth works and subsoil drainage

MEET THE TEAM
David Luxton
Managing Director
Dave established D&S in 1993 and soon became a household name in the construction industry in the Pilbara. With over 30 years experience in delivering civil drainage and services projects, Dave has a wealth of knowledge and knowhow in successfully delivering projects for our clients.
Simon McMicking
Operations Manager
Simon has specialised in civil earthworks and drainage over the past 12 years and is a hard working member of the team with an eye for the fine detail. Simon comes from a background of working for both Tier 1 construction companies and subcontractors and works through problems with a systematic approach.
Shannon Boyd
Business Manager
Shannon has more than 20 years' experience as an administrative professional and initially joined D&S in 2013 and more recently in 2020. As the companies Business Manager, Shannon overseas all accounts payable, receivable, payroll, human resources, mobilisation and site requirements
Brooke Luxton
HR and Safety Manager
Brooke has an interdisciplinary background in Organisational Psychology and Business,
with over 14 years experience in human resources and safety, with specialisation in workforce planning, organisational development, project management, and analytics.
Travis Maloney Supervisor
Travis worked for D&S in the early years in the Pilbara and very quickly moved up the ranks to a supervisor. Spending some time working in Perth with his own contracting company, Travis was in high demand as a well renowned drainer who works with speed and accuracy. Travis joined the D&S team again in 2019 and is a huge asset to the company.
Ryan Grafham Supervisor
Ryan started his career with D&S at a young age and has been working for D&S for 15 years. Ryan has worked in other roles at Tier 1 companies and knows what it takes to get a project across the line safely, on budget, and on time. Ryan has a hands-on approach that motivates the team and he always leads by example.
Kyle Beresford Supervisor
Kyle started with D&S Civil at Gudai-Darri Rail Formation and has been an integral part of the team since day one. Having a background in both concrete finishing and final trim operating for civil projects, Kyle is able to provide guidance and knowledge to the workforce to ensure a safe and high-quality outcome is achieved on his jobs. Kyle’s calm and polite nature makes him a pleasure to work with, and his attention to detail is second to none.
Dan Alloway Supervisor
Dan worked for D&S from 2009 to 2013 as a Supervisor, before living on the east coast for a few years. Dan rejoined the team in 2023 and has slotted straight back into the Supervisor role like he never left. Dan is a fully qualified carpenter with a vast experience in civil structures and concreting works, as well as knowing culverts inside out. He holds an Open Supervisor’s Construction License. Dan is very calm and calculated with his work and leads by example, gaining clients and employees’ respect.
